  Future Options - Job Placements
Job prospects for those who successfully complete a bachelor's degree in the pharmacy course are very encouraging. The role of a pharmacist involves manufacturing, distributing, retailing and dispensing of drugs to the required consumers thus creating a vast scope of employment opportunities in hospitals, medical directorates; that involve inspecting and analysis of drugs in the manufacturing units, providing, preparing and dispensing drugs and medicines, preparing special feeding solutions, and supplying diagnostic agents.
 
A wide array of opportunities is also present in the education and research (particularly indigenous medicine) industry. Other options for pharmacy graduates who are interested in further training could enroll themselves at a specialised research institute like the Bhabha Atomic research Center.
 
As the use of prescription drugs increases, demand for pharmacists will grow in every existing community, and with this change in scenario Self - employment is another major scope for a pharmacist. Setting up one's own chemist/druggist store, distribution firm for analytical laboratories, drug farm for producing raw material and growing herbs and plants is showing signs of rapid growth in the years to come. As a result of rapid growth in the Pharmaceutical Industry, employment could be sought at pharmaceutical companies like Boots, Glaxo, Ranbaxy, etc. Opportunities and posts vary from company to company in an industry where pharmacists are usually employed in production and quality control, research and development, preparation of technical and medical information and in retailing and marketing of the same.
 
It is also possible for pharmacists and pharmacologists to enter general management posts via production management and technical - sales posts. Medical representatives involved in the marketing of drugs also may be from the field of pharmacy. New jobs also are being created in disease management—the development of new methods for curing and controlling diseases—and in sales and marketing. Due to rapid growth in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, the need for well-trained pharmacists is the need of the hour during this time period.
 
Future Options - Job Placements
  Other options for pharmacy graduates after completion of their Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree course who are interested in further training include a the subject of his/her interest. Another much sought after option is doing an M.Tech in a field of his/her choice or masters in genetic Engineering which is one of the more upcoming fields.

A student may also pursue a Masters in Science (M.S.) in a field of Pharmaceutical Sciences of his/her choice. This option may also be pursued in another country like USA, Australia or Europe which requires the student to have successfully completed some prerequisites before considering enrollment.
