Blood the most integral part of life is given to those who need it by those who have the resource to satisfy the need. The love of fellow human and a desire to share something of oneself is what singles out a blood donor from the others. Emergencies occur every minute. For each patient requiring blood, it is an emergency and the patients could have set back if blood is not available.

The blood donation camp organized by the first and second year students turned out to be a huge success. This endeavour was initiated by IPA. Many of the pharmaceutical colleges participated in this social service campaign. The Pharmacy students, Management students, parents and even the faculty members turned out in big numbers to contribute to this social cause.

Initially students were quite apprehensive about donating blood; however the volunteers and the team of doctors carried out group discussions and cleared their doubts regarding the myths on Blood Donation. There were doctors from Samranthan blood bank who guided and advised the students’ volunteers and the donors. Refreshments were provided to the donors. Each donor's haemoglobin level and weight was checked before the donation. The donors and the volunteers were also given a certificate of appreciation.

The total number of bottles collected were 80. We hope that  even in the future our college continues to render its name and support to such social causes and we continue to help humanity in all the ways we can.
